About Choppy Water

Choppy Water GmbH is one of the leading wholesalers for water and winter sports products in Europe. Since 1998, the company has been managed by its founders Matthias Regber and Nicolas Wendelken, with Merle Kittan joining the management team in 2014. Originally, Choppy Water GmbH was founded as an event management agency. In 2005, the Trading Division was added, which has since been responsible for the distribution of sporting goods in Germany and across Europe.

The brand portfolio includes the water sports brands TAHE, SIC Maui, Surflogic, Egalis, Soöruz and California Board Company as well as the winter sports brands Never Summer Industries, Flux Bindings, XION PG and HOWL.

Choppy Water GmbH is headquartered in Stein near Kiel. The company operates on a site of approximately 13,000 square meters, located in close proximity to the Baltic Sea. The premises include offices for the event and trading divisions as well as a warehouse covering around 2,000 square meters. From here, sports products are shipped throughout Germany, Europe, and to water sports centers and customers all over the world. The team consists of 17 employees, including two sales representatives who are responsible for southern Germany and Austria.
