Choppy Water GmbH is one of the leading wholesalers of water and winter sports products in Europe. Since 1998, the company has been run by the founders Matthias Regber and Nicolas Wendelken, joined by Merle Kittan in 2014. Originally, Choppy Water GmbH was founded as an event management agency. In 2005, the Trading Division was added, which has since been responsible for the distribution of sports articles in Germany and Europe. In addition to the water sports brands TAHE, SIC Maui, Oxbow SUP, Surf Logic, Zegul, Egalis, Soöruz and California Board Company, the brand portfolio includes the winter sports brands Never Summer Industries, Flux Bindings, Academy Sowboards, Easy Snowboards, Fix Bindings, XION PG and HOWL.
Choppy Water GmbH is based in Stein near Kiel. The company’s premises are located on an approx. 13.000 square metre site in the immediate vicinity of the Baltic Sea. In addition to the event and trading offices, the warehouse is also located in a hall complex of approx. 2.000 square metres. From here, sporting goods are shipped to Germany, Europe and to water sports centres and customers all over the world. The team consists of 16 employees, one of whom is a sales representative for southern Germany and Austria.
