TAHE 10,5 cm Hydronamic Fin-Set

Hydronamic fins are the latest development from BIC Surf R&D. These fins were first used on the new 6’2″ shortboard together with the highly regarded Fin-Loc system. Hydronamic fins are a huge improvement over conventional surfboard fins which are not optimally profiled. Conventional fins have a centre fin profiled on both sides with side fins that are flat on the inside. This flat inside causes turbulence in the water and therefore unnecessary resistance, which restricts your speed and responsiveness. To solve this problem, the inner sides of the Hydronamic fins have a curved profile so that the water can flow freely over the surface of the fin without causing resistance and thus reducing speed. At the same time, the board retains control and all the well-known characteristics that make the Thruster fin system so successful.
